Emergency Care in Patients with head Injury


Abstract
The emergency management for patients with head injury start in restitution and maintenance of respiratory and cardiovascular function and then an appropriate neurological and general physical examination should be performed repeatedly. The most
important diagnostic procedure is brain CT scan and cervical translateral view, especially in patients with altered consciousness. The patient with clinical signs and symptoms of intracranial hypertension should be treated with hyperventilation,
diuretics, steroid, anticonvulsants, etc. The patient with cranial or spinal surgical lesion must be performed emergency operation as soon as possible.
